Head Coach Ian Watson gave credit to his halfbacks, for their contribution to Sunday’s victory over Hull FC.
Both Tui Lolohea and Chris Atkin were try-scorers, as the Red Devils surpassed 50 points.
Watson said: “Tui’s a superstar – he’s a great player of the game.
“He’s only a young lad, still learning, but he’s got unbelievable talent.”
The Red Devils coach was also pleased by Atkin’s performance. He replaced the injured Kevin Brown and cleared the length of the field, to score his first Super League try for Salford in style.
Watson added: “I thought Chris Atkin actually built into the game. I thought he just got better as the game went on.
“Chris can be a very influential player in our squad going forward.”
The last Super League game Salford had featured in was almost five months ago – an impressive 18-14 comeback win against Wigan Warriors – a performance that the team was able to match during their restart fixture.
Speaking on the way his side played collectively, Watson said: “I think every single one of them played well.
“When you win like that, I think everyone gets the plaudits and rightly so – I think it’s about the team.”
