The world of Rugby League is expanding; something Salford Red Devils have been participating in over the past year, as we revealed our partnerships in Australia, Wales and Ghana. This year is the 10th anniversary of Rugby League Federation Ghana and to celebrate our ongoing collaboration, we’re launching a limited-edition Ghana tee.
Salford Red Devils have teamed up with Rugby League Federation Ghana and VX3 to produce a design for the Ghana development team to wear for the 2022 season. A small number have been produced for general release to give supporters the opportunity to own and wear a piece of club history.
The long-term partnership with Rugby League Federation Ghana has multiple aims; from promoting the sport, developing coaches, players and supplying equipment. The Ghana tee was revealed for the first time at Salford Red Devils first pre-season friendly in January 2022. The Salford and Swinton derby was attended by special guests including Remond Safi (Middle East-Africa Regional Director) and Andy Gilvary (National Team Coach).
Remond Safi, MEA Regional Director, said: “This partnership will pave the way to a new era in RLFG and Africa, the partnership will embrace a rugby league culture in Ghana capturing the raw talent of the next generation.
“The relationship will add value to the foundation of the sport in Africa and open opportunities for players, coaching/match officials and administrative pathways.
“Salford Red Devils embarking on this unique partnership with Ghana is setting a blueprint for the others to follow with an ambition of being innovative within, bringing a new audience and developing new experiences for fans and the sport.”
Andy Gilvary, National Team Coach, commented: “The significance of this partnership has come at exactly the right time for Ghana. With more players, volunteers, clubs and supporters than ever before, Salford will be able to steer the next generation of rugby league enthusiast in the country.
“The hope is, we will see Ghanaian players representing Salford in the Super League at some point in the future along with the club identity being embedded across the nation. Ghana remains committed to being the number one rugby league playing nation in Africa and we know Salford will help us to get there.”

The main feature of the partnership will be the ‘Salford Red Devils Ghana National Rugby League Development Centre.’ It’s an exciting project to be part of and we are delighted to reveal the first in a range of kit for the Development Centre.

Salford Red Devils can confirm that our VX3 Allegiance Tees and Dacia Magic Weekend shirts will be restocked and available to preorder this week following overwhelming opening weekend sales.
Following our VX3 partnership announcement last week, the club launched the Allegiance tee, which is dedicated to our season ticket holders and squad builders, and our 2021 Dacia Magic Weekend kit, which pays homage to the City of Salford.
These were both very well received and has therefore led to a shortage in stock after only four days of both items being on sale.
VX3 have now opened a preorder window which will end midnight on Wednesday 1st September, for anyone who wishes to order an Allegiance tee or Magic Weekend shirt. Delivery will be made week commencing October 11th due to high demand. Make your preorders HERE.
Our Dacia Magic Weekend bucket hats will not be restocked, but we can confirm that new designs will be coming in November.
The club are grateful for how supportive our fans have been off the back of last week’s launches, and we look forward to seeing as many of you in those stands as possible at St. James’ Park, on Saturday 4th September.
Tickets are still on sale for our Dacia Magic Weekend clash with Castleford Tigers and can be purchased HERE.
Fans who hold multiple tickets under one name will only appear once on the shirt. During the balloting process, fans who held multiple tickets were given the option to allocate their tickets to other names . If you did not complete this process, then only the lead name will feature on the Allegiance tee.
Names that are positioned behind the badge on the tee are repeated elsewhere on the shirt.
Salford Red Devils are pleased to announce a new two-year partnership with British sportswear brand VX3, in a club record kit supply deal.
As part of the partnership, VX3 will takeover the club’s retail operations and will launch a bespoke online retail experience later this year.
The partnership was struck on the back of the most extensive kit supply process that the club has conducted, involving almost thirty brands from the sports wear industry. The process was highly competitive, with VX3 impressing throughout.
To kick off the partnership, VX3 will be supplying this year’s Dacia Magic Weekend kit and purchases of this kit will be made possible soon on a microsite added to the existing VX3 website, with the bespoke retail site launching in line with the 2022 kit release.
Speaking about the new partnership, Commercial Director George Harborne stated: “I am delighted to welcome VX3 as our new kit supplier and retail partner on the back of an exceptionally competitive tender process.
“VX3 were a front runner in that process from our first conversation, and as we continued to progress discussions it became clear that they would be a great partner for the club.
“The partnership will see retail now include child and toddler kits from 2022, as well as women’s sizes across some of the range from this coming Dacia Magic Weekend, both of which were a priority for us to get right when securing a new partner.
“We are excited by the bespoke kit designs that the team have pulled together for 2022, and look forward to working with Ben and the rest of the team over the next 2 years to deliver some great merchandise for the fans.”
Ben Lovell, Director at VX3, added: “We are thrilled to be working with Salford Red Devils for the next 2 years, and on this year’s Magic Weekend kit.
“Early on in our discussions with George, we identified a number of areas that we felt we could enhance the retail offering and we look forward to developing and delivering on that over the next two years.
“Rugby league is an important sport to us, and we are pleased to add a Super League side in Salford Red Devils to our list of elite partners.”
