Squad Builder relaunched for 2021

Salford Red Devils are excited to announce the relaunch of our Squad Builder scheme ahead of the 2021 season.

Since the scheme was introduced ahead of the 2019 season, Squad Builder members have helped bring some big names to the AJ Bell who have had an impact on the Club’s recent progression, with Kallum Watkins the most recent addition.

In the past two seasons we have found ourselves in back-to-back major finals which is a testament to the Club and all its supporters.

Behind-closed-doors games last year made it challenging as many of our income streams were restricted. But, thanks to you, the fans, who helped out massively with season ticket donations, virtual matchdays and Squad Builder, we not only survived but we reached Wembley for the first time in over 50 years.

Head coach Richard Marshall has collated a strong backroom team and has further aspirations for our already established squad, so we appeal to you once again to help build further on the progress we have made by becoming a 2021 Squad Builder member.

Salford Red Devils Managing Director Paul King said: “Now more than ever the Club needs the fans to once again get behind us and help create the environment to breed further success.

“The global pandemic has been challenging, we appreciate fully how incredibly difficult it is for everyone right now but I urge you, if possible, support this initiative to enable the Club not only to survive but to thrive.

“We have all greatly enjoyed our recent successes on the field of play, with the continued support of our loyal fanbase we believe we can kick on and continue to challenge for honours in 2021.”

This year we are giving all Squad Builder members free RDTV from February 21st 2021 through to February 22nd 2022, where members will be able to see all club features, press conferences and previous games.

Squad Builder also gives you the opportunity to bring a friend to games, with game vouchers issued once we are aware of the fixtures and have identified what matches these vouchers can be valid for.

For Gold Squad Builder members, we will be issuing a limited edition signed Salford Red Devils ball in approximately July of this year.

All members will also receive a Squad Builder t-shirt and we will be in contact regarding sizes in the near future.

We hope to be able to offer much more as the season develops and restrictions are lifted and we thank you all once again for your incredible support both on and off the terraces. We can’t wait to have you back with us in person!

Due to government restrictions supporters are not allowed to attend the ticket office in person. However, Squad Builder can be paid for outright online now and from the The Salford Stadium ticket office from 9am tomorrow by calling 0161 786 1570, and selecting 1 for tickets and 1 for Salford Red Devils, or by emailing ticketoffice@ajbellstadium.co.uk ,

Monthly Direct Debit payments can also be made, meaning supporters can spread their payments, with the final payment being on the August 15th 2021. This can be done also by following the methods above.

The Squad Builder price categories are split into Gold, Silver and Bronze, to allow fans with different financial situations to support the club accordingly.

The ticket office is open for phone calls and emails from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.

Salford Red Devils to host fourth Fan Focus Evening

Salford Red Devils can confirm we will be holding a Fan Focus Group on Thursday 14^th March from 6pm to 8pm at the The Salford Stadium.
This will be the fourth Fan Focus Evening with the first three meetings helping the Club with recent initiatives such as our 2019 Season Tickets, Squad Builder initiative, the Willows Wall and our move to Sunday fixtures for the 2019 season.

Signed Maurice Richards boot winner has been chosen

Salford Red Devils are delighted to confirm that Steve Hamby has won the signed Maurice Richards boot from our prize draw of our first 200 Squad Builder members.
The Welsh winger spent his entire Rugby League career with Salford racking up a Club record 498 appearances between 1969 and 1983 for the Red Devils. He also holds the Club record for most tries with 297. Richards was part of the Salford team which won Championship titles in both 1974 and 1976. He also scored in the Lancashire County Cup final on two occasions helping the Red Devils win the tournament in 1972.
Richards was recently voted into the ‘Willows Wall’ Heritage Team.

2019 Open Day to take place on Saturday

Salford Red Devils are delighted to reveal finalised details for Saturday’s open day in the 1873 Suite of the The Salford Stadium.
We’ve collated all the key information for Red Devils supporters surrounding the event.

Squad Builder Members

Our 2019 Squad Builder members, sponsors and club partners are invited to join us from 11am in the 1873 Suite in a period of exclusivity at Saturday’s event.
Squad Builder members will be handed their official membership cards and certificate on arrival with their membership cards gaining them access to future Squad Builder events.
Platinum Squad Builder members will also collect their Anglesey hotel voucher on entry before they will be invited outside to the West Stand seating to be involved with a Salford Red Devils team photo at approximately 11:45am.
Squad Builder members are welcome to bring a +1 to the event however in the case of Platinum members only one member will be included in the team photo.
It is important that fans who are not members of the Squad Builder do not try to enter the 1873 suite during this time as access will not be granted unless you are a member of the Squad Builder initiative.

General Admission

The 1873 suite will be open to Salford Red Devils fans, who are not members of the Squad Builder initiative, at 12:30pm.
At approximately 1pm, the Salford Red Devils 2019 squad will enter the room one-by-one and take centre stage along with the coaching staff. Once every player has taken to the stage interviews with Ian Watson and a number of players will take place.
Following the interview section of the afternoon, Salford Red Devils players will be available for photograph opportunities and to sign autographs.
There will also be an opportunity for any supporters who are not yet currently a member of our innovative Squad Builder scheme to sign-up and reap the amazing benefits that come alongside.
Drinks will be available for supporters to purchase throughout the afternoon.

Club Shop

Salford Red Devils can confirm that our online store provider – WildThang – will be present at Saturday’s event and supporters will be able to purchase a range of merchandise ahead of the 2019 season.
The Club Shop will only be taking purchases on the day and will not be doing exchanges or refunds at the event. If you are looking to exchange an item or would like a refund on a purchase, you must do so via their online store here.

Ticketing

While you are down at the The Salford Stadium for Saturday’s event you will be able to purchase tickets for a range of upcoming Red Devils fixtures.
However, we’d encourage fans to purchase 2019 Season Tickets which are still available from the Club Ticket Office on Saturday. You can purchase in one payment via cash or card or can sign up to our Direct Debit payment scheme. Season Ticket collections will also be available from Reception. In addition, tickets for our opening game of the 2019 Betfred Super League season against Huddersfield Giants at the John Smiths Stadium on Friday 1^st February will also be available to purchase. You can also book onto the supporters’ coach for the game with Season Ticket holders getting travel at a discounted rate. All details here.
Tickets for our opening three home Betfred Super League games of 2019 will also be on sale – London Broncos (Sunday 10^th February), Leeds Rhinos (Sunday 17^th February) and St Helens (Thursday 28^th February). For 2019 ticket prices, click here.
Finally, tickets for our 2019 Dacia Magic Weekend clash with Hull Kingston Rovers on Sunday 26^th May, 1pm kick-off, at Anfield will also be available to purchase. Season Ticket holders can get half-price tickets if they buy before April. You can also book your place on the supporters’ coach for this game. All details can be found here.

Salford Red Devils to host 2019 ‘Season Launch’ event

Salford Red Devils are pleased to announce the details of our 2019 ‘Season Launch’ event which will take place on Saturday 26^th January in the 1873 suite at the The Salford Stadium.
Members of our Squad Builder initiative should have received an E-Mail earlier today with the arrangements of their exclusive activity prior to the event being open to the general public.
The event will be open to all supporters at 12:30pm and the Salford Red Devils 2019 playing squad will all be confirmed and handed their playing shirts for the upcoming season. There will be opportunities for Salford Red Devils fans to speak and get autographs from players.
Supporters will also be able to sign up to the Squad Builder scheme on the day and reap the fantastic benefits that are attached.
The Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust will also be in attendance and signing members up throughout the day.

Squad Builder members have chance to win Maurice Richards’ boot

Salford Red Devils can confirm we will be entering all Squad Builder members into a prize draw to win a signed Maurice Richards boot once we reach 200 members.
Legendary Welsh flyer Richards holds the record for most Salford Red Devils appearances with 498 as well as being the Club’s all-time leading try-scorer notching a huge 297 tries. Richards was also named on the wing in our ongoing ‘Willows Wall’ Heritage Team.
The first 200 members of the Squad Builder initiative will have the opportunity to win this amazing and rare piece of Red Devils memorabilia.
Salford Red Devils Director Paul King has again donated this wonderful piece of history for Squad Builder members to win. This follows our recent prize draw for a signed match-worn Joey Lussick shirt which was won by Steve Greenall.

Salford Red Devils confirmed we would award a signed Joey Lussick shirt to one of our Squad Builders when we hit 145 members and the winner is Steve Greenall.
Steve was one of our earliest Squad Builder members and is a proud member of the Platinum package. We will be confirming another prize draw in the coming days when we hit another targeted number of Squad Builder members.

Season Ticket collection afternoon on Sunday 16th December

Salford Red Devils are pleased to confirm we will be hosting a ‘try and buy’ and Season Ticket collection afternoon on Sunday 16^th December, 11am-2pm, in the Club’s museum.
This will be the first opportunity for Salford Red Devils supporters to pick up their 2019 Season Tickets.
Any fans who are yet to secure their 2019 Season Ticket can purchase theirs on the day from Reception. Please remember that Season Tickets are then available to be picked up at any point from Reception in the lead-up to Christmas.
You will be able to try on our 2019 home shirt and purchase in time for Christmas at the event. WildThang – the Club’s official merchandise partner – will be present on the afternoon selling additional merchandise such as beanies, retro shirts, t-shirts and more.
There will also be opportunities for any Salford Red Devils fans looking to join the Squad Builder initiative and get the amazing benefits that come alongside. Fans can also sign-up for the Gold Line Draw and have the opportunity of winning £500 every single week.
Come and collect your Season Ticket and try our 2019 home shirt on for size!
Finally, Salford Red Devils can also confirm that we are working on an official ‘Season Launch’ event which is scheduled to take place after Christmas.

Sign-up to Squad Builder for £3 a week

The initial response to our newly-launched Squad Builder has been fantastic with over 120 members now signed up and receiving the amazing benefits attached to the various packages, but it is crucial that Salford Red Devils supporters continue to sign-up and help this Club grow!
It is brilliant that loyal Red Devils have parted with their hard-earned cash to help this community club strengthen as a Betfred Super League Club and bring in players to see us grow as a competitive force on the field.
Season Ticket sales – as mentioned in the Club statement earlier this week – are still in front of the same point last season and we’re delighted that many Salford supporters have purchased their tickets for the 2019 season early.
However, it is vital that some of these fans who have committed early by purchasing their 2019 Season Tickets go one step further and sign-up for a Squad Builder membership to ensure the Club can prosper throughout the 2019 season. Signing up is available via Direct Debit HERE or by calling 0161 786 1590 or visiting the Salford Red Devils offices.
For as little as £100 you can become a proud supporter of the Squad Builder initiative as a Silver member. You will receive five amazing benefits throughout the season as a return on your investment towards the Salford Red Devils squad.
And, you don’t even have to pay in one payment you can spread the payments for a silver membership package over ten easy, manageable monthly payments of just £12 a month; which equates to approximately just £3 a week.
If we were to push 300 Season Ticket holders onto an additional silver Squad Builder membership, the Club would be able to increase stability off the field with the rewards being a strong competitive side on the field.
And, of course, you can always go bigger with our gold and platinum packages which include six and eight exclusive benefits, respectively. Supporters can pay in one upfront payment of £250 or £500 or, again, spread the costs throughout the year for just £30 or £60 a month.

Club Statement | Dr Marwan Koukash writes off debt owed to him

Earlier this week, former Salford Red Devils owner – Dr Marwan Koukash – confirmed he has written off all the outstanding debt owed to him.
Salford Red Devils would like to begin by thanking Dr Marwan Koukash for this fantastic gesture. He has been a huge supporter of the Club, both as a fan and as a financial benefactor, and this is something that the Club is hugely appreciative of.
Since January 2018, the Club has functioned as a community club run by a Community Holding Company and has become more dependent on the generosity of the Salford Red Devils supporters and the wider community.
Season Tickets, regular match tickets, merchandise sales, sponsorship, hospitality and our brand-new initiative Squad Builder are the handful of major current revenue streams for the Club and it is pivotal that the fans and wider community continue to buy into these.
The immediate success of our newly-launched Squad Builder was a clear indictor that we have the foundations on which to build a stable, successful and self-funding Club. We are already well on the way to our target figure, but it is vital that fans sign-up and play a major role in assembling our 2019 playing squad.
In addition, we are still ahead in Season Ticket sales in comparison with the same point last year, which alongside a slight increase in pricing, has generated more revenue for the Club. We have also launched two fantastic kits and a brilliant leisurewear range alongside new partners Kappa and WildThang with early sales looking extremely promising.
We’d like to thank all the fans who have parted with their hard-earned cash via the aforementioned avenues – it really does help, and it really is appreciated.
But we know the work doesn’t simply stop here and we are continuing to work hard behind the scenes in all departments to ensure that this historic Club can prosper in the Betfred Super League.
The Club will be aiming to market more successfully in the coming seasons including reaching out to fans who have lapsed away from the Club in recent years. However, we are fully aware of the need to create new Red Devils which is why you will see the Club become more visible and proactive in the community of Salford.
Salford Red Devils are also aware of the need to take our matchday experience in a new direction which is also something the Club are looking into ahead of the 2019 Betfred Super League season. Our recent Fan Focus Groups and relationship with the Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust are helping us with all of the above.
There really hasn’t been a better time in which to be a Salford supporter, re-engage with the Club or begin your affinity with the Red Devils. The fans are now a huge influencing factor in how successful this great Club can be, and we want you on this journey alongside us.
Salford Red Devils are currently in our 145^th year of existence. Many chapters have already been written and we are extremely optimistic that 2019 will be the beginning of a new chapter.
A chapter which sees the Club embedded in the community. A chapter which sees the fans become an essential part of the Club. A chapter in which we are #TogetherStronger.
