Signing a two-year deal, the versatile halfback will play a pivotal role in Paul Rowley’s squad across 2024 and beyond.

On his signing day, Mellor completed his first interview with the club, before being whisked around the Salford Stadium for various bits of content capture.

As ever, club photographer, Steve McCormick was there to document it all:

GALLERY: SHORROCKS IS SIGNING NUMBER SIX!

View the best images as Joe Shorrocks completed a transfer to Salford Red Devils.

Joining the club on a three-year deal, the utility forward is a significant addition to our squad ahead of 2024 and will be looking to kick-on under the tutelage of Paul Rowley.

Shorrocks is already vastly experienced at the top level, but his relatively young age means he still has plenty of time to develop into a really special player.

Club photographer, Steve McCormick was in attendance to capture what Joe got up to on his first morning:

View the best images as Kai Morgan became our fourth addition of the off-season window.

A young halfback with plenty to prove. Morgan is relatively unknown in first grade rugby league, but he has climbed the youth ranks at a rapid pace.

Kai popped into the Salford Stadium last week for some media duties ahead of the announcement of his arrival.

As ever, club photographer, Steve McCormick was in attendance to capture what he got up to:

WELCOME KAI!

Kai is a young talent, but feels ready to mix it with the first-team.

GALLERY: BOUROUH PENS ONE-YEAR EXTENSION

Locked-in for 2024! 🔒

Off-contract this winter, Bourouh has put pen to paper on a one-year extension.

The exciting, young hooker has got plenty of time on his side and will continue to develop for a further 12 months in red and white.

Soaking up the advice of Andy Ackers will be certainly helping his game, with Head Coach, Paul Rowley also a premiere hooker in his playing days.

As usual, we were there on resigning day to document what he got up to:

YOUNG GUN

Full of potential, everyone is very excited to see how Amir develops in 2024.

STAYING AT THE SALFORD STADIUM

It’ll be a third season in red and white for the 22-year-old.

MAGIC IN HIS BOOTS

SEALED!

We can’t have a contract extension without Bleasy’s appearance!

TRAINING GALLERY – I’VE GOT THE MAGIC IN ME!

It’s a date in the calendar everyone looks for.

Magic Weekend is upon us and Paul Rowley’s side will be making the trip to St James’ Park on Saturday to face an in-form Hull KR.

Fresh from cup progression and a crucial Betfred Super League victory against Hull FC, the Red Devils will be looking to maintain their spot in the top six with a victory.

Here’s some of our favourite snaps from training this week:

GALLERY – LOCKED-IN ON LEEDS!

The international break is over and Salford are back!

After six wins from our opening ten Betfred Super League games, Paul Rowley’s Red Devils will look to build-on their pre-break momentum when they got to battle with a tough Leeds Rhinos side on Friday night.

GALLERY – OLIVER PARTINGTON IS BACK!

After a Rivals Round win against Leigh Leopards, the lads are already hard at work preparing for the visit of Castleford Tigers this Thursday.

It’s a short turnaround between games, but spirits are high and the squad was further boosted by the return of Oliver Partington.

February’s Player of the Month was in flying form before suffering a nasty knee injury against Warrington Wolves in early March. The team have coped well in his absence, but his comeback will be a major boost for the final two fixtures before the international break.

GALLERY – ANDREW DIXON RETURNS TO TRAINING!

It’s hard to believe we’re almost a quarter of the way through the regular Betfred Super League season, but six games down, Paul Rowley’s men sit in fifth place.

Despite a spirited performance on Friday evening, two late tries from Bevan French and Toby King took the game away from a hard-working Salford Red Devils side.

Next up, we welcome Huddersfield Giants to the Salford Stadium and the lads have been hard at work preparing for this one. Here’s some of our favourite snaps from this week’s training…

GALLERY – ALL ROADS LEAD TO WIGAN

After a dramatic, golden point victory against Wakefield Trinity, attentions have now turned to our Round 6 clash against Wigan Warriors.

The Cherry and Whites picked up an impressive two points against Huddersfield Giants last weekend, with two tries from Bevan French and one from Jake Wardle.

Salford have been boosted by the return of Joe Burgess and Tim Lafai after short setbacks.

GALLERY – WIRE IN ROUND 3!

After falling to defeat in our first home game of the season last week, Paul Rowley’s Salford Red Devils will be looking to bounce back against a tough Warrington Wolves side.

Currently sat top of the table – winning two from two – Daryl Powell’s men will be raring to go, but it was the Red Devils who staged a stunning comeback at the same ground last season.

Here’s some of our favourite shots from the pre-Wire captain’s run:
