ST GEORGE’S DAY FEVER HITS SALFORD RED DEVILS VS CATALANS DRAGONS

It’s George the Red Devils versus the Dragons in the Betfred Super League, as it’s all about St George’s Day this Sunday!

Paul Rowley’s side navigated a tricky Easter period with back-to-back victories and are looking to make it three in a row against the high-flying Dragons side, led by Steve McNamara.

The Perpignan-based outfit sit just two points above the Red Devils in 4th and boast some of the finest talent in Super League; including two-time Man of Steel winner, Sam Tomkins and second-highest try scorer in 2023, Tom Johnstone.

Starting with 12pm; where our Women’s team will be facing Featherstone Rovers in their first-ever Betfred Challenge Cup clash.

Chris Bates’ side made a winning start to their Super League 2 campaign on Sunday. Tries from Luci McKeown, Helena Walker, Alex Simpson, Tamzin Corcoran and Steph Gray contributed to a fantastic 8-20 victory over Castleford Tigers.

So come down to the ground early and back our girls against some tough opposition!

Then, after the game, get yourself into the Salford Stadium in anticipation of our Round 10 clash. However, we have an opportunity for one of you to win an exclusive prize…

Huddersfield Giants are the visitors to the Salford Stadium for this one; so ahead of the game, we’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.


WHAT’S GOING ON?

FROM-12:30PM:

The activities outside the stadium kick-off with a DJ set, who will be building the atmosphere ahead of our first game of the day.

The very popular Beer-bus will, once again, be in operation on the south-west corner of the ground, so supporters can enjoy a refreshment or two before even entering the stadium.

Bach 95 – a gluten-free lager company – will also have a stand in the same area; as well as options to purchase tea, coffee and other hot beverages.

12:45PM – SALFORD RED DEVILS WOMEN VS LEIGH LEOPARDS WOMEN KICK-OFF!

Our Super League-bound Women’s team will be facing Leigh Leopards in their final pre-season friendly before the regular campaign gets underway.

This will be taking place on the Community Field next to the Salford Stadium, with Head Coach, Chris Bates naming his 18-women squad on Friday.

POST-1:30PM

Turnstiles for our men’s fixture against Huddersfield Giants open at 1:30pm.

At this point, John Blackburn from the Salford Red Devils Foundation will have his Tombola stand set-up closer to the stadium bowl.

The Supporters’ Trust will have a table set-up in the south-west corner of the concourse, giving fans the opportunity to sign-up for a membership. Members of the Salford Red Devils men’s team will be joining them throughout the afternoon – so pop over and say hello!

Please can we urge supporters to bring BOTH card and cash for the concession stands.

3:00PM-SALFORD RED DEVILS VS HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS KICK-OFF!

Our Round 7 clash gets underway at 3pm, so please take your seats early and back the boys as they enter the field for another crucial Super League fixture.

3:40PM (APPROX) – HALF-TIME

Local school, St Peter’s – from Swinton – will be on the pitch at half-time, playing touch rugby.

4:30PM (APPROX) – FULL-TIME

For members of the 1873 Lounge, we will be showing the Premier League clash between Newcastle United and Manchester United on the big screens. Last orders will be at 6pm, with the lounge closing at 6:30pm.

Yes! Tickets for this game remain available and can be secured in two ways:

On The Day – Tickets can be purchased on the day from the ticket office, located on the West Stand.

Please note that this game IS included for 2023 Season Ticket Holders. If supporters are yet to collect their season tickets, they can do so from the ticket office following the game, accessing the stadium using their digital ticket for the fixture. 1873 Lounge season ticket collections are taking place at reception.

PARKING:

On-site car parking is available at the Salford Stadium. Parking is not operated by the club.

Through CosCos and EST Parking, we have been able to secure some reduced price car parking for supporters on land earmarked for development close to the stadium.

In order to ease congestion when arriving at the Stadium, supporters can pre-book their parking by clicking here.

1873 LOUNGE:

Supporters who have opted to purchase match tickets in the 1873 lounge will be able to purchase refreshment options from a menu created by new stadium catering partners, Heathcote & Co. 

There will be different food and drink options available, so check out the menu on arrival.

Please note, whilst children are welcome in the 1873 Lounge, they should not be left unattended and should refrain from playing ball games around the lounge and exterior hallways.

The Man of the Match award will be presented in the lounge post-match.

Salford Red Devils will host St Helens in our third home game of the 2019 Betfred Super League season on Thursday 28th February. The game is set to kick-off at 7:45pm.
The West and South Stands will be open for home fans on Thursday evening while the travelling St Helens supporters will be situated in the East Stand.
Ticketing
You can purchase tickets for Thursday’s game against St Helens at the Club Ticket Office prior to kick-off. You must purchase a ticket as oppose to paying on the turnstile. Remember, ticket prices will rise by £2 on gameday, so we’d encourage supporters to purchase their tickets ahead of Thursday. You can purchase online, HERE.
2019 Season Tickets are valid for the fixture and if you are yet to collect your 2019 Season Ticket you can do so before Thursday’s game from the The Salford Stadium Ticket Office.
If you are a member of a community club who has received a FREE Junior Season Ticket this week and sent off your form, you will be able to collect your 2019 Season Ticket from the The Salford Stadium Ticket Office prior to Thursday’s game against St Helens.
We now have more availability in the 1873 Suite for Salford Red Devils to purchase 2019 Season Tickets on a pro-rata basis for our VIP area. If you are an 1873 Season Ticket holder you can gain access via the Main Reception from 5:30pm. You must be wrist-banded on entry to gain access to the 1873 Suite.
The smoking pens at either end of the West Stand will be open for fans to use. These will be open before the game and close as the first half gets underway. The smoking pens will re-open ten minutes before half-time and close as the second half gets underway.

Transport and Parking
The Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust are in action for Thursday’s fixture against St Helens. Both the RD1 and RD2 have brand-new quicker routes for the 2019 season with both journeys now only taking approximately 45 minutes. Please note the pick-up times will be for a 19:45pm kick-off on Thursday evening.

Marquee and Catering
The marquee will be open from 5:30pm and DJ Andy Steele will be entertaining both the Salford Red Devils and St Helens supporters pre and post-match while you soak up the atmosphere.

Salford University will also be bringing their speed-reaction game for fans to test their agility in the lead-up to the game.

Forecourt Activity
The Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust will have a table in the forecourt where they will be selling previous editions of ‘The Red Devil’ from the games against London Broncos and Leeds Rhinos. They will also be signing up members.
Pre-Game Entertainment
Ahead of Thursday’s game, the ‘Red Angels’ will be performing a dual-performance with the ‘Saints Angels’ as part of the pre-game entertainment. Make sure to show them some support!
Half-Time Activity
At half-time, we will see the debut of WildThang’s ‘Wild Five Minutes’ which will see Club mascot Dr Devil fire t-shirts into the crowd with our brand-new t-shirt cannon with one shirt containing a golden ticket for a prize at an upcoming Salford Red Devils fixture.
The ‘Red Angels’ and ‘Saints Angels’ will also be performing again at half-time.

‘The Red Devil’ will return for the third issue of the season and this week’s cover star and focus of the big interview is Jansin Turgut and don’t forget you will collect your third token of the season to earn a signed match ball at the end of the season!

Jackson Yamba and his son – who were the victims of a racial attack on their property in Salford recently – will be guests in our Platinum Club and will bring the ball onto the field pre-match.

Funderpark


The Valentines Fair – Funderpark – is present at the The Salford Stadium and Salford Red Devils can confirm free entry for all match or Season Ticket holders on production of their ticket.
The Funderpark amusement park is the biggest travelling funfair in Europe and is available for FREE to all fans between the hours of 12:30pm and 2:45pm. Get inside and enjoy the rides before the roller coaster that is Super League!
Forecourt Activity
The Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust will have a table in the forecourt where they will be taking new memberships as well as selling our re-run of programmes of Issue One of ‘The Red Devil’. If you need to get an issue of last week’s programme, please visit the Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust.
There will also be a ten-piece band playing in the forecourt area before the game and inside the ground in the lead-up to kick-off.

Supporters looking for bus travel to the game can use the 67 and 100 bus services from Manchester via Salford Precinct and Eccles. The 67 stops a five-minute walk from the The Salford Stadium while the 100 service now goes down the new road between the Trafford Centre and the The Salford Stadium with the nearest stop being at Beyond Manchester.
Car parking is available at the The Salford Stadium and is priced at £6 per car. Seasonal car park passes will be accepted for this fixture.

Marquee and Catering

The marquee will be open from 12:30pm for anyone looking to watch the Salford Red Devils Rising Stars fixture, more information below. The mobile catering vans will be open outside the The Salford Stadium. Food and drinks will also be available to purchase in the West Stand concourse and the 1873 Club.
External toilets will be open from 12pm.

Half-time activity

The half-time draw will be conducted with the winners being confirmed over the PA system and on social media. There will also be a signed shirt raffle conducted at half-time. Purchase your tickets from our friendly sellers who will be located in and around the West Stand.
The Red Angels Dance Team will be performing before kick-off and at half-time. Be sure to give them a warm welcome.
Of course, Dr Devil will be out on the field to entertain the fans. Make sure to make some noise for Rugby League’s number one mascot.

Outside Field

Cardiff Blues U18’s will be training on the outside field and 3G prior to the game. Feel free to head down early and watch them train.

The Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust buses won’t be in action for tomorrow’s fixture however they will be making a return for our opening Betfred Super League fixture of the 2019 season as we face London Broncos on Sunday 10th February. Stay tuned for more information.
Supporters looking for bus travel to the game can use the 67 and 100 bus services from Manchester via Salford Precinct and Eccles. The 67 stops a five-minute walk from the The Salford Stadium while the 100 service now goes down the new road between the Trafford Centre and the The Salford Stadium with the nearest stop being at Beyond Manchester.
Car parking is available at the The Salford Stadium and is priced at £6 per car.

Marquee and Catering

The marquee will be open from 10:30am for anyone looking to watch the Salford Red Devils Rising Stars fixture, more information below. The mobile catering vans will be open outside the The Salford Stadium. Food and drinks will also be available to purchase in the West Stand concourse and the 1873 Club.
External toilets will be open from 10:15am.

Academy Fixture

The Salford Red Devils Rising Stars team will face the City of Hull on the outside training field at 10:30am and this game is open to fans to watch free of charge. Arrive early and support the youngsters as they look to earn a massive victory over the City of Hull.

Half-time activity

The half-time draw will be conducted with the winners being confirmed over the PA system and on social media. There will also be a signed shirt raffle conducted at half-time. Purchase your tickets from our friendly sellers who will be located in and around the West Stand.
The Red Angels Dance Team will be performing before kick-off and at half-time. Be sure to give them a warm welcome as they entertain you for the first time in 2019.
Of course, Dr Devil will be out on the field to entertain the fans. Make sure to make some noise for Rugby League’s number one mascot.

Additional Notes

There will be a minutes silence before kick-off to remember all Salford and Swinton supporters who have passed away over the last year.

Matchday information | Salford Red Devils vs St Helens | Thursday 26th April

Ahead of tonight’s Betfred Super League tie with St Helens here is all the key gameday information, kick-off 19:45pm.
Ticketing
Supporters can purchase tickets for tonight’s Betfred Super League clash with St Helens from the Club Ticket Office or over the phone on 0161 786 1570.
Following full-time the Club Ticket Office will be open to sell tickets for a range of our upcoming fixtures. Tickets for our next home game against Huddersfield Giants on Friday 25th May will be available to purchase from the Club Ticket Office. Details here.

Fans can also purchase tickets for our Dacia Magic Weekend fixture against Catalans Dragons on Sunday 20th May, 1pm kick-off. Supporters can also upgrade to the 1873 Suite for the game by paying the difference between their regular ticket price and the 1873 prices. All details here.
Stadium
The visiting St Helens fans will be situated in the East Stand for tonight’s game with the North Stand Ticket Office being open for Saints fans to purchase on the night.
Salford Red Devils supporters will be in the West and South stands.
The The Salford Stadium smoking pens will also once again be in use opening ten mintues before half-time and closing as the second half kicks-off. The smoking pens are situated in the North-West corner, North-East corner and behind the East Stand.
All bags will be searched on entry to the The Salford Stadium. Fans are reminded that children are their responsibility and must remain with them at all times.
Car Park and Transport 
The Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust RD1 service will again be in use and fans can see all the details on how to book here. There will also be a one-way option for fans on the way back from the The Salford Stadium all details here.
Local taxi firm 1010 taxis will also be offering 10% off taxis to and from the The Salford Stadium for tonight’s game.
Car park places are available for tonight’s game and are priced at £6 per car.

Hospitality
Both the Platinum Suite and 1873 will be open from 5:30pm and food will be served around 6:30pm in the Platinum Suite. Seasonal members will be asked to produce their coloured lanyards while people with a match ticket will need to be wristbanded at Reception.
Regular compere Archie Kelly – known for his comedic portrayal of Kenny Dalglish Senior in the award-winning Phoenix Nights – will be hosting the Platinum Suite.
We will raffle off Weller Hauraki’s signed 2017 Ladbrokes Challenge Cup playing shirt in the 1873 and Platinum Suite’s this evening. You can purchase tickets from our hostesses in both suites. If you want the chance to win this fantastic prize upgrade your ticket to 1873 prior the game.
Fan Areas
The Fans Bar and Fans Marquee will be open from 5:30pm. DJ Andy Steele will be performing in the Fans Marquee and the Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust will have a table set-up to take memberships.
The Club Shop  
The pop-up Steeden shop will once again be in the Fans Bar to purchase the latest Salford Red Devils merchandise.
Fans are reminded if they are coming to exchange an item to do so with plenty of time.
Salford Red Devils Foundation
The Salford Schools Finals will be taking place on the outside training pitch prior to tonight’s game with the opening fixture set to kick-off at 5:30pm.
The first game is the Year 10 final which will see Ambrose Barlow compete against the East Manchester Academy. Ambrose Barlow are also in the Year 11 final and will take on Walkden High School. Entry onto the outside field is £1 with all the proceeds going to the Salford schools.
Salford Red Devils Foundation will also be running activity session on the 3G pitch while Salford City Roosters and Cadishead Rhinos community clubs will also be present. Tonight’s bucket collection will be for local community club – Langworthy Reds.
There will also be a face painter in the Fans Marquee and the community clubs will be mascots and flag wavers prior to the game.
Pre-match and half-time activity
The Salford Red Angels Dance Team will be performing before the game and at half-time so cheer them on.
There will also be some community club matches on the field at half-time as arranged by the Salford Red Devils Foundation.

Here is all the key fan information for Good Friday’s Betfred Super League clash with Catalans Dragons at the The Salford Stadium. Please remember the game will kick-off at Midday (12pm).

Former Red Devils owner Dr Marwan Koukash has offered a fantastic gesture to the Club and is urging YOU to bring a friend!
Dr Marwan Koukash has said he will match the gate receipt taken on the day in order to enable the Club to be stronger going forward.
Marwan is challenging existing fans with the task of introducing or re-introducing a fan to the sport and the Salford Red Devils.
Maybe it’s a friend who is looking for some Easter plans, it could be a work colleague who you think would love Super League or even someone who used to watch the Club but has stopped attending in recent seasons!

To be in with the chance of winning all you’ll need to do is fill in an entry form with yours and your match day mate’s details to be entered into the draw. Please come early to make sure you have time to fill in your form and get to the Fans Marquee.
Remember, you need to bring your friend on match day and purchase your ticket from the Club Ticket Office in order to be included in the draw. Only purchases on the day will be included in the draw.
Ticketing
You can purchase tickets prior to the game from the Club Ticket Office, over the phone on 0161 786 1570 or online here. Only the West Stand and South Stand will be open for Friday afternoon’s game.
If you have purchased your ticket over the phone or online and are set to collect it prior to the game, you will also need to do so from the Club Ticket Office with collections having a separate window.
The Club Ticket Office will be open following the game for fans to purchase tickets for a handful of upcoming Salford Red Devils fixtures.
Fans will be able to purchase tickets for the next fixture at the The Salford Stadium which is set to take place on Saturday 7th April at 3:15pm against Warrington Wolves. You can also buy over the phone on 0161 786 1570 or online here.

Fans are also reminded to purchase their Magic Weekend tickets for our encounter with Catalans Dragons on Sunday 20th May at St James’ Park, Newcastle, 1pm kick-off directly from the Club Ticket Office. Car Park and Transport
The Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust have again provided a bus service from Salford Precinct to the The Salford Stadium for Friday afternoon’s fixture.
The bus is set to leave Salford Precinct at 10am and arrive at the The Salford Stadium for around 11am. There are return options for adults, seniors, juniors and families as well as one-way single option back from the Stadium following full-time. Earlier this week the Salford Red Devils also struck a deal which will see local taxi firm 1010 Taxis offer any supporters travelling to or from the The Salford Stadium on matchday a 10% discount on their fare. There contact numbers are 0161 793 1010, 0161 794 1010 or 0161 281 1010.
The new road from The Trafford Centre to the The Salford Stadium is now in full swing and fans are reminded that it is only a twenty-minute walk from The Chill Factore to the Stadium.
Fans can also park at the The Salford Stadium from 8:30am and the car park is priced at £6 per car.
Hospitality
All seasonal hospitality guests will have their 2018 Season Ticket placed inside their respective lanyard which they will simply need to present at Reception before being guided to either 1873 Club, Platinum Club or Level 3.
Anyone attending hospitality on a match-to-match basis will be wrist banded at Reception to gain access to their respective area.
Guests in hospitality will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the chance to win Greg Johnson’s 2017 signed playing shirt.
Fans Areas
The Fans Marquee bar will be open from 10:30am with DJ Andy Steele providing live entertainment as he will be playing the best air guitar songs of all time.
There will also be a face painter situated in the Fans Marquee for your Junior Devils to get set for the game. The Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust will also be handing out Easter Eggs, allowing Junior Devils to make their own Easter cards and crafts at an activity table, get a ‘selfie with a player’ with the Foundation’s Instagram selfie board and collect Junior member autograph books.
While it’s Easter there will Hot Cross Buns available from the Marquee and outside catering and there will also be a special offer on WKD.
The Fans Bar beside reception will also be open from 10:30am.
Club Shop
The pop-up Steeden store will also be present prior to Friday afternoon’s game and will be set up for around 10:30am.
There is a wide range of merchandise on offer for fans to purchase from both home and away replicas to leisurewear and training gear.
Any fans who are looking to exchange an item at Friday afternoon’s game are reminded to arrive with plenty of time to do so.
The Red Devil
This week’s edition of ‘The Red Devil’ will be available to purchase from our programme sellers situated around the The Salford Stadium and is priced at £3.
Inside this week’s programme we have a big interview with French forward Levy Nzoungou, the latest from Head Coach Ian Watson, Club Captain Weller Hauraki, the Salford Red Devils Foundation and much more.
Salford Red Devils Foundation
The Salford Red Devils Foundation will be giving out Crème Eggs to children – make sure to head to the outside 3G field to collect your Crème Eggs. The Red Devils Foundation will also be running activity sessions on the 3G field.
Pre-Match and Half-Time Activity
The Red Angels Dance Team will be performing both before kick-off and at half-time so make sure to make some noise and give them some support.
There will also be a Juniors mini-game taking place at half-time so make sure you get behind the Junior Devils on the field.

Matchday Information | Salford Red Devils vs Hull FC | Friday 16th March

Here is all the matchday information for tomorrow’s Betfred Super League clash with Hull FC. Please remember this game will kick-off at 8pm.
Ticketing 
Tickets for tomorrow’s game against Hull FC will be available to purchase prior to the game from the Club Ticket Office. All ticket prices for tomorrow’s game can be found here.
You can upgrade your ticket to 1873 Club on the day of the game, also. You simply have to pay the difference between a regular West or South Stand ticket and that of an 1873 ticket.
Tickets for our next two home games against Catalans Dragons and Warrington Wolves will both be available for purchase following the game. We will face Catalans on Good Friday (30th March) at midday and Warrington on Saturday 7th April at 3:15pm, all ticket prices and details here.
We will also be selling tickets for our next two away games for our trips to Widnes Vikings and Leeds Rhinos. Widnes ticket prices, for the game on Thursday 22nd March, can be found here. Remember, Salford Red Devils retain 25% of any early ticket purchase direct from the The Salford Stadium.
We’d encourage fans who want to go to the fixture against Leeds Rhinos at the Emerald Headingley Stadium on Easter Monday (2nd April), 3pm kick-off, to purchase after Friday’s game as they won’t be on sale when we face Catalans due to the Rhinos recalling their tickets early due to ongoing redevelopments at the Emerald Headingley Stadium.

Car Park and Transport
Car Park spaces will be available at tomorrow’s game from 4pm with the Car Park charge now £6 per car.
The Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust are running a bus service which will begin at Salford Precinct at 6pm. There are ten stops on the route through Salford and you can book your place online or pay on the day. Full details are here.
Following the game, the traffic signals will now be changed to prioritise people leaving the Car Park and Stadium. This gives fans an advantage and hurries the process of leaving the Car Park after the game.
With the new road now open from The Trafford Centre to the The Salford Stadium fans can park at the Trafford Centre of ChillFactore and walk down the road which is only a 15-minute walk. The new road offers another entry and exit from the Stadium and should also help the flow of traffic before and after the game.
Of course, the 67 and 100 First buses are also available for fans to get to and from the Stadium.
Hospitality
The Platinum Club will be open from 5:30pm with food service at 6:00pm. Any guests in hospitality must enter through the main reception and produce their lanyard holding their Season Ticket or get wrist banded if they are a match-only customer.
All guests in any of our boxes on level three are welcome to come down for the live music and post-match Man of the Match award speech.

Fans Areas
The Fans Marquee outside will have live entertainment with band Distiller performing, as arranged by the Salford RLFC Supporters’ Trust and entry is free as always.
The Fans Bar will host the Steeden shop. The Fans Bar, Fans Marquee and Kiosks will all be open from 5:30pm onwards.
Club Shop
The pop-up Steeden shop will be at Friday’s game in the downstairs Fans Bar besides Reception. Fans are free to come and browse our wide range of fantastic Steeden merchandise with the Club taking both cash and card payments.
Anyone wishing to exchange items can do so but we’d advise you get here early to avoid queues of people purchasing merchandise as we expect it to be very busy. The Club Shop will also be open post-match.
Salford Red Devils Foundation 
The Salford Red Devils Foundation will be running open activity sessions on the outside Astroturf beside the fans bar and there will also be bucket collections at the game for the ceremonial mayor’s charities . The Foundation will also have a face painter available.
The Red Devil
This week’s ‘The Red Devil’ features an interview with new Managing Director Ian Laithwaite, forward Mark Flanagan as well as the latest from Andrew Rosler, Ian Watson. Weller Hauraki, the Salford Red Devils Foundation and much more.
The programme is priced at £3 and can be purchased from any of our programme sellers who will be donning bibs.
