KIT MANAGER VACANCY

The Salford Red Devils – who operate in rugby league’s Super League competition – are accepting applications for a Kit Manager.

Experience in kit management in sport would be beneficial, but not essential.

Support and training will be supplied. The successful applicant will need to start the role as soon as possible.

The role will be working for the club on match & training days; the applicant must be flexible to the working week, which will include weekends, bank holidays and travel abroad where required.

The applicant will be working with the First Grade and Reserve Teams. The role will require a high level of discretion.

HALF-TIME DRAW SELLERS NEEDED

Our half time 50/50 draw is urgently requiring new sellers to add to our current team.

We ask that you arrive approx. 1 and ¾ hours before kick off to collect your items and be in situ when the turnstiles open.

At kick off you return to the office and pay in your sales – this may mean you miss up to the first 20 mins of the game (approx.)

For this you will receive:

Commission on all sales (uncapped)

Complimentary admission to the game

Complimentary car park space (subject to availability)

We appreciate that not every person can work every game due to other commitments and have a flexible approach.

FIRST TEAM PERFORMANCE ANALYST VACANCY

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated candidate to join the Salford Red Devils Rugby department in the role of first team performance analyst.

The ideal candidate will be committed and hard-working with a wealth of enthusiasm and knowledge alongside effective communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head and Assistant coaches to ensure all performance analysis services within the club are run efficiently for players, coaches and all staff.

Salary: £29 000 pa

Hours of work: Such hours as necessary to carry out your duties. This will involve a minimum of 37 hours per week and may include working outside normal office hours at evenings and weekends and on Public Holidays, and extended periods of travel around the UK and overseas where appropriate

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with the 1st team players and the coaching staff to lead, develop and deliver excellent performance analysis services in a Super League Europe rugby club environment.
  • Use objective data and information across the games & season to enhance the coaching process, impact performance decisions and improve athlete performance.
  • Deliver the performance analysis provision for the first team squad.
  • Capture, prepare, and analyse data from games &/or training both nationally and internationally. Please note the role will require a significant commitment to the demands of ‘front line’ delivery including travel to games abroad.
  • Consistently produce effective and compelling analytical insights that can be maximised by the performance support team, coaches, and athletes
  • Design, implement and deliver targeted projects with a focus on the teams decided KPI’s.
  • Work within the rules of the relevant RFL governing body Code of Conduct, Operational Rules, Standards, and Guidelines.

Job Description

Working in an elite sporting environment, the post holder will be responsible for the club’s players on the day to day running within the physiotherapist department alongside the clubs Head Physiotherapist, and other department colleagues reporting to the Director of Rugby & Operations.

The successful candidate will apply themselves on prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of the clubs player injuries as well as ongoing maintenance treatments of non-injured players. The post-holder will be expected to be work/time flexible and attend the club’s fixtures as instructed (home and/or away & abroad) including pre-match preparation, match cover and post-match assessments/ treatments.

The successful applicant should have a passion for treatment and rehabilitation and an understanding of the demands of elite professional sport. They should also have a supportive understanding of full confidentiality and the nature of working alongside elite athletes on a daily basis.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Physiotherapist medical provision alongside the Head Physiotherapist, Assistant Physiotherapist and Lead Soft Tissue Therapist.
  2. Assist with the rehabilitation of long term injured players.
  3. Plan and implement injury prevention programs and return to play protocols for injured club players.
  4. Work closely with the rest of the Department to provide support on all tasks for the Physiotherapist and Medical Department.
  5. Attend club fixtures and assist and on pre-game preparation, medical cover throughout the game and post-game injury assessments.
  6. To maintain professional governing body standards at all times.
  7. To oversee administrative jobs required as needed for an effective and efficient department.
  8. 8. To maintain and hold up to date and comprehensive qualifications as stated in professional body guidelines.
  9. 9. Maintain standards of clinical hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
  10. 1 Respect and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  11. 1 Keep detailed daily and up to date medical records on the progress of each injured player.
  12. 1 To undertake any other reasonable duties at the discretion of the Club
  13. 1 Contribute to a seven day a week treatment service to the First Team Squad (if required).

  • 2 years post graduate experience in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

  • Registered (with immediate effect) for work within the UK.
  • Valid UK driving license

 

Desirable Criteria

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in sport.
  • Medical Management on The Field of Play (IMMOFP) qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the principles of sports science.
