Salford Red Devils can confirm that Kriss Brining has left the Club following a lengthy lay-off with injury.
Brining joined the Red Devils in 2017 and made 24 appearances scoring five tries in his debut Betfred Super League season but was unable to feature in the 2018 season due to injury.
Salford Red Devils Head Coach Ian Watson said: βIt was an extremely tough decision to let Kriss go.
βKriss was one of my first signings and Iβd have loved to have continued our journey together. Iβm still of the opinion that Kriss still has the potential to go far in the game.
βIβm hopeful that we can work together again in the future and this is something Iβve discussed with Kriss. Hopefully he gets his career back up and running but due to current circumstances we were unable to offer Kriss a deal for next season.
βWe already have three hookers signed up for the 2019 season and with Kriss still trying to overcome a long-term injury we came to the decision to let Kriss go which wasnβt easy for us.β
Salford Red Devils can confirm that Gavin Bennion has also left the Club after making two appearances in 2018.
Weβd like to thank Kriss and Gavin for their efforts.
