Salford’s Niall Evalds will face his hometown side this weekend and the England Knights fullback has pointed to one man who the Red Devils need to keep quiet.
Evalds, sponsored by The Dog and Partridge, said: “Scott Murrell is their main go-to man. He controls everything for Halifax and we need to keep tabs on him for sure.
“His kicking will slow the game down, he’s always trying to find touch and kill momentum and it’s going to be an arm-wrestle.
“Hopefully, we’ll start stong because we know if we go into the game with the wrong attitude or the failure to start quickly that they can turn us over.
“The fans will get behind them and they’re a tough side to beat at home. We’ve got to remain composed and not try to score on every play, sometimes you’ve got to grind games out and I think that’s something we’ve done well so far in The Qualifiers.
“Our completion rate has got to be high and we’ve got to force some repeat sets if we’re not scoring.
“We’ve worked hard in training all week and we’ll go there confident we can claim another win.”

'Offload Social Pub Quiz' tonight at the Dog and Partridge
The Dog and Partridge will be hosting an ‘Offload Social Pub Quiz’ in conjunction with the Salford Red Devils Foundation and Offload tonight.
All Salford Red Devils fans are welcome to go down to the Dog and Partridge and enter a team, compete and attempt to win the pub quiz.
The event is designed to be a social occasion allowing all Salford Red Devils fans to meet up in the lead-up to our opening game of the Betfred Super League season against Wigan Warriors on Friday 2nd February.

Dog and Partridge set to sponsor Niall Evalds in 2018
Salford Red Devils full-back and 2017 top try-scorer will once again be sponsored by local pub The Dog and Partridge for the upcoming 2018 season.
Dennis Riley, owner of the Dog and Partridge, said: “I sponsored Niall Evalds last season and obviously at the beginning Niall wasn’t in the first team but he eventually earned himself a chance and broke into the side which was good for me.
“Niall ended up as our top try-scorer at the end of the season and you know he come through the ranks here at Salford and I’m looking forward to sponsoring him again and hopefully he does well for me next season.
“I’m hoping Niall can kick on and keep his place in the side but that’s up to Ian Watson but Niall’s versatile and can play on the wing or in the centres as well but I like him at full-back.
“But at the end of the day it’s all competition for places and I’ll keep sponsoring Niall. I like the lad a lot he’s quiet and keeps himself to himself – I’ve been trying to get him down to the pub for a drink but I don’t think it’s going to happen.
Salford Red Devils CEO, Ian Blease, said: “We’re delighted Dennis and the Dog and Partridge are involved with the Club again in 2018.
“Dennis is a massive Red Devils fan and one of the most recognisable Salford supporters and it means a lot that he’s supporting the Club in this fashion again.”

Lucky Devils Lotto – Week 26
Here are all the winners from Week 26 of the Lucky Devils Lotto.
G Battiste was this week’s big winner coming away with £1000. Roy Poxon won £250 while Tony West won the £125 prize. There were also 39 winners of the £10 consolation prizes.
However, the Rollover Draw continues for another week with the prize now standing at a whopping £2500.
We also had our monthly donated prizes drawn today.
Salford Red Devils forward Craig Kopczak won a family meal at Hard Rock Café while loyal Club sponsors Dog and Partridge won the Canal Barge Experience thanks to Karens Day Boat Hire.
