Gold Line Draw | New Season Ticket holder wins £500

The Gold Line Draw crowned another £500 winner recently with Ken Dougherty – who became a Salford Red Devils Season Ticket holder this season – being one of our big winners.
Mr Dougherty said: “I joined the draw to support the Club and the local charities that it involves.
“I started following the Club following a chance flick through of Sky sports and finding the Betfred Super League on around four years ago.
“With Salford being the nearest Betfred Super League club to me I started attending the odd game with my youngest daughter who has now gone on to join a girls’ team.
“This year we got a family season ticket for the first time and we’ve been to all but one home game.
“When I got the E-Mail, I didn’t believe it was me at first, I had to get my letter with my numbers out to double check.
“It was really nice to get the follow-up call as well as I wasn’t sure how things worked with winnings until I spoke to Colin in the Lotteries Department. It was nice to hear that we seemed genuinely pleased for me that I’d win.
“In terms of spending it I think the wife’s done that already four-fold, but it will be going towards the family summer holiday in August.”

Gold Line Draw | Red Devils donate £1500 to Breaking Barriers

Last week the Salford Red Devils Lotteries Department donated £1500 to North West based Charity Breaking Barriers.
Steph Sherratt – who runs the Charity – was born within walking distance of The Willows and the Charity are proudly supported by the Red Devils.
Breaking Barriers NW is a registered charity founded in 2012 by parents of disabled children. It aims to support disabled children, young people aged 0-25 and their families to be able to manage whatever challenges they are currently facing.
They believe in equal opportunity for all and that difference should be celebrated. Breaking Barriers and the Red Devils are excited to work together to raise awareness and challenge barriers to inclusion for disabled people across the North West region.
Breaking Barriers will be hosting their ‘BBNW Summer Fun Time’ event on July 21st 2018. The event starts at 1pm and you’ll be able to book via an Eventbrite link on their website soon. Click here.
There will be a zip wire, giant swing and an aerial assault course all for small prices. There will also be a tombola, raffle and refreshments on sale throughout the afternoon.
Breaking Barriers also run a scheme in which people can donate their empty ink cartridges to help them raise funds. Contact collect@thinkinks.uk to arrange a free collection and help raise funds for the Charity.

Breaking Barriers say Thank You to fans!

At Sunday’s game vs Widnes Vikings, we were joined by ‘Breaking Barriers’ a charity that aims to support disabled children, young people and their families.

The Charity was founded in 2012 by parents of disabled children and helps families so they feel empowered and better able to manage whatever situation they currently face.

They were invited along to the game to do a bucket collection and had a wonderful experience at the game. They raised nearly £350 and were interviewed on the pitch at half time.

The Charity are very grateful for all the kind donations from fans and wanted to say thank you for your generosity.

Steph Sherratt, Co Founder of Breaking Barriers and Mum, said,

“We believe in equality of opportunity, the celebration of difference and aim to challenge and remove barriers to inclusion.

“The support of Salford Red Devils is extremely important to us as a Charity and we are very proud to be associated both with the lottery and with the club.

“At the game on 21st February the generosity of the club and the fans helped us raise almost £350.

“Every penny goes back into making sure we reach out to as many families as we can as often as we can.

“Thank you to everyone at the Salford Red Devils for your continued support and belief in us.”
