Salford Red Devils are delighted to partner with Salford Royal NHS Trust Foundation to bring you our limited-edition 2019 Dacia Magic Weekend shirt which will help raise vital funds for heart monitors for patients who have had a stroke.
The 2019 Salford Red Devils Dacia Magic Weekend shirt will be a limited-edition with just 500 shirts being produced. Salford Red Devils will be donating Β£5 to Salford Royal heart monitor fund for each shirt sold.
Director of Rugby and Operations, Ian Blease, said: βWe are really pleased to release our 2019 Dacia Magic Weekend shirt in support of a fantastic local cause.
βWe have recently agreed a formal partnership with Salford Royal and this amazing shirt is a key element of that agreement.
βHelping a local cause has become something weβve done every year via our Dacia Magic Weekend kits and that was a major part of our thought process behind this yearβs design.
βI have no doubts that the Salford Red Devils faithful will show brilliant support for this kit and in turn raise funds for heart monitors at Salford Royal.β
Salford Royalβs Chief Officer, James Sumner, said: “We are extremely honored to be chosen as the partner organisation for the clubβs Magic Weekend. Heart monitors are extremely important items on our stroke unit and can help our staff identify if a patient is at risk of having another stroke.
βOver the years weβve welcomed a number of Salford Red Devils players on visits to our wards and services, so we are extremely pleased to now develop this into a more formal collaboration to benefit our patients, staff and the club.β
Wild Thang Director, John Howarth, said: βWorking with the Club has been fantastic since day one.
βWhen we were asked if we could submit some designs using the Salford Royal branding, it was a no-brainer.
βWeβve had some great social media interaction with fans, and I think theyβre appreciative of what we are trying to do. We donβt just want to be another retail brand, but we want to fully commit to being partners and working together with the Club.
βWeβre hopeful the 2019 Dacia Magic Weekend shirt will be received as well as the home and away shirts, it generates some money for a great cause and Salford Red Devils come away from Anfield with a victory later in the year.β
2019 Salford Red Devils Squad Platinum and Gold members will have been contacted for their shirt sizes and messaging and will receive their shirt in due course. Silver members will use their unique Squad Builder reference number to claim their 10% discount on their shirt.

Red Devils to face Hull Kingston Rovers at Magic Weekend
Rugby League will return toΒ Anfield StadiumΒ for the second time in six months next May when the Dacia Magic Weekend hits Merseyside and Salford Red Devils will clash with Hull Kingston Rovers.Β
Liverpool FCβs iconic stadium provided the perfect setting for Englandβs memorable Second Test win against New Zealand last week,Β and now all 12 Betfred Super League clubs can relish the prospect of playing in front ofΒ TheΒ Kop after todayβs meeting of the Super League board ratified the move.
Super League broke new ground in 2007 when the Magic Weekend was established, with a regular round of fixtures taken to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
Since then it has also been staged at Murrayfield, Manchester Cityβs Etihad Stadium, and for the last four years St Jamesβs Park in NewcastleΒ β and the concept has now been adoptedΒ in the Southern Hemisphere by the National Rugby League,Β who will stage a full round of matches at Brisbaneβs Suncorp StadiumΒ next May.
The 2018 Dacia Magic Weekend attracted an aggregate attendance of more than 64,000, and as ever the players relished the top of the ground conditions with a feast of tries, and an average of more than 50 points scored in each of the six games.
The fixtures at the 2019 Dacia Magic Weekend will include a repeat of the 2018 Betfred Super League Grand Final, with champions Wigan Warriors facing Warrington WolvesΒ in the last of the three games on Saturday May 25 (1900 kick-off) β giving the Wolves the opportunity to take revenge not only for their defeat at Old Trafford last month, but also for the 38-10 drubbing inflicted by Wigan in Newcastle last May.
TheΒ AnfieldΒ programme has been determined by ranking position from the 2018 season, meaning that the other two teams who earned places in the top four β St Helens and Castleford Tigers β will clash in anotherΒ mouth-wateringΒ fixture to round off the weekend on Sunday May 26 (1800).
Wakefield Trinity and Catalans Dragons will share the honour of playing the first Dacia Magic Weekend fixture atΒ Anfield StadiumΒ at 1400 on the Saturday, and their match will be followed by Hull FC versus Huddersfield Giants at 1630Β β before Wigan and Warrington take centre stage.
The Sunday programme begins withΒ Salford Red Devils facing Hull Kingston Rovers (1300), while newly-promoted London Broncos have been handed a tough match against Leeds Rhinos (1530) in their first Magic Weekend appearance sinceΒ 2014.
All six matches will be shown live on Sky Sports, as part of their extensive, exclusive live coverage of the Betfred Super League.
RobertΒ Elstone, the Super League chief executive, said:Β βOn behalf of the Super League clubs, weβre delighted to be taking the Dacia Magic Weekend to one of the most famous stadiums in the world.
βAnfield and Liverpool Football Club have embraced our sport – throughout all our discussions on the Magic Weekend, they made it very clear to us that they wanted that relationship to continue. The game should be proud that Anfield has become a rugby league venue.
βI would also like to thank Mayor Joe Anderson for his support for what will be a great weekend for Super League and the City of Liverpool. I had the privilege of working in the city for more than a decade and I know Super League fans will have a great time not only at Anfield but in one of our countryβs most vibrant and exciting cities. The place is special β itβs a perfect fit for the celebratory atmosphere of Magic.
βIβd also like to thank the City of Newcastle and Newcastle United for hosting the Magic Weekend so well over the past four seasons. Theyβve created so many great memories for Super League and our fans, and have set the bar very high for Liverpool. Newcastle has inked its place into Super League history.β
Tickets for the 2019 Dacia Magic Weekend will go on sale on Monday 19 November 2018 via rugby-league.com and the Super League clubs.
