Austin Wilkinson continue to support Salford in 2018

Following the reveal of our 2018 #FourStripes home kit last week we can confirm that Austin Wilkinson will continue to be one of the Clubs major sponsors for the 2018 season.
Austin Wilkinson, who have been involved with the Club since the 1970’s, will continue their support as one of eight major shirt sponsors. Austin Wilkinson will also sponsor Red Devils prop-forward Lee Mossop who is set to return from injury for the beginning of the 2018 season.
James Wilkinson, Managing Director of Austin Wilkinson, said: β€œHow could we not lend our continued support to Salford for the upcoming season.
β€œThere’s a euphoria building and surrounding the Salford Red Devils at the moment with the success of last season which was the best in recent memory.
β€œWe have enjoyed this unrivalled success as a sponsor alongside the fantastic opportunities and exposure our company has received in return. We’re enjoying our involvement with the Club.
β€œSponsorship with the Salford Red Devils has been fantastic and never been a journey into the unknown and we’re revelling in our future partnership prospects and sharing future successes together.
β€œWe believe in the Salford Red Devils and what they’re building on and off the field.”
Salford Red Devils CEO, Ian Blease, said: β€œAustin Wilkinson are the longest-serving of all our commercial partners and have supported this Club no matter what for almost fifty years now.
β€œWe’re extremely grateful for this continued support from such a fantastic company and we’re looking forward to working together throughout 2018.
β€œAustin Wilkinson are just one of several major sponsors who have stayed on with the Club for the upcoming season which just highlights the strides we are taking off the field as well as on it.
β€œThey will also sponsor Lee Mossop this season who I fully expect to have a fantastic season with us. I know how hard Lee has been working to bounce back from his injury last season and I’m sure the fans and Austin Wilkinson will be delighted with his performances in 2018.”

2018 home kit is an instant hit with supporters

Salford’s 2018 home kit has been an instant hit with Red Devils supporters who took to social media to express their delight at the kit release.
The kit is a reboot of the home jersey worn by Salford between 1986-1988, a period in which current CEO Ian Blease played, and the fans like the trip down memory lane.
Again, the Red Devils have gone for a red kit but the reintroduction of #FourStripes across the front and on the shoulders has pleased fans. #FourStripes can also be seen on the socks while the new Club crest takes pride of place on the shirt.
Major Club partners Applied Nutrition, Austin Wilkinson, Advanced Steel, Mitsubishi, Prowood, Salmon King and Trust Salford all feature on the 2018 kit.
Salford Red Devils CEO, Ian Blease, said: β€œI’m also particularly fond of the kit as it’s a reboot of one that I proudly wore in the 1980’s.”
Here is some of the social media reaction:

An update from Salford Red Devils CEO Ian Blease

After a busy few weeks Salford Red Devils CEO Ian Blease gives us an update on the latest ongoings at the Club ahead of the 2018 season.
Salford Red Devils CEO, Ian Blease, said: β€œWe’ve had a lot of positive news coming out of the Club over the past two to three weeks and we fully expect this continue past Christmas and into the 2018 Super League season.
β€œSeason Ticket sales have still been steadily increasing even since the early bird period came to an end and I’m delighted to say that we have currently sold more Season Tickets than at the same stage last season.
β€œOf course, we know this is far from job done and we will continue to look for new Season Ticket holders to grow this number before we take on Wigan on the February 2nd.
β€œWe released our 2018 home kit yesterday and the response from our fans has been nothing short of exceptional with the vast majority of our supporters loving the design.
β€œI’m also particularly fond of the kit as it’s a reboot of one that I proudly wore in the 1980’s. The amazing reaction yesterday has coincided with some very promising early pre-orders for our 2018 home shirt and we are expecting this to continue.
β€œExciting developments are being made with sponsorship deals with all of our major partners staying with us into the 2018 season. We have also improved our match-by-match sponsorship packages which we are sure are going to be a hit with the corporate sector.
β€œTo matters on the field and the lads have been back in training for two weeks now and are looking very sharp – I’m hearing great things from Coach Watson.
β€œOur new signings have settled in brilliantly and the competition for places this season is going to be brilliant. I already can’t wait to watch the lads back on the field on January 14th when we face local rivals Swinton with ticket details for that game due to be released soon.
β€œIn the coming weeks, we will have more news including an event for fans, another signing, another friendly, the launch of our away kit and more importantly some news on the Board of Trustees which I know fans are waiting to hear.
β€œThe Club is in a good position at the moment with people working hard in every department. I’d like to thank the fans for their patience and for spending their hard-earned money on season tickets and our range of clothing produced by Steeden.”
