SALFORD HERITAGE NUMBERS ANNOUNCED

by | Oct 24, 2019

Salford Red Devils are pleased to present heritage numbers for players past and present.
Numbers have been allocated to every player who has represented the club in a competitive fixture, from 1896 to present day, with the entire list available to view HERE.
Salford Red Devils director Paul King said: “We’re delighted to publish our heritage list and give recognition to everyone who has ever pulled on a Salford shirt.
“It’s an important part of our identity as a community club, that we pay respect to our history and this a fantastic way of linking our past, present and future players.
“As a Salford supporter, there are many memories which I find are brought to the surface as I look through this list.
“A lot of hard work has gone into putting this together. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed and hope that all supporters now use this list to enjoy our shared heritage.”
The team which put together the list consisted of Graham Morris, John Blackburn, Paul Whiteside and Graham Jones, with Liz Wright assisting in database preparation. Salford Red Devils would like to thank them all for their hard work and dedication.
Moving forward, the Heritage Committee will allocate numbers to new players, create certificates, arrange for events to hand over numbers and most importantly provide ongoing research to identify living family members, who may receive the awards on behalf of those no longer with us.
The Heritage Committee is as follows:
Graham Morris
John Blackburn
Nikki Keenan
Graham Jones
Paul Hulme
Louise Woodward-Styles
Liz Wright
