Salford Red Devils are delighted to confirm that Lizzie Jones will be appearing live at Thursdayβs Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Quarter Final against Wakefield Trinity (The Salford Stadium, 8pm).
Lizzie is set to perform before the big clash as Salford look to make their first semi-final for almost 20 years.
As well as promoting the Cup tie Lizzie continues to do amazing work promoting the Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund, campaigning to raise funds to buy equipment that could be the difference between life and death at rugby league clubs across the UK.
Defibrillators cost around Β£1,000 each and provide potentially life-saving treatment to anyone suffering a cardiac arrest.
Lizzie said: βThis is my way of saying a big βThank Youβ to the wider Rugby League family for all they have done for me and my children since we lost Danny.
βThe professional and semi-professional players are now getting screened, which is fantastic, and itβs important that we do all we can to protect the welfare of the men, women and children who gain so much pleasure from playing the game at community level.
βΒ£1,000 doesnβt seem like a lot of money but as anyone whoβs been involved with grassroots sport will know, every penny matters and I am proud to be associated with another project which means Dannyβs death will not have been in vain.
