The Salford Red Devils are delighted to announce that Niall Evalds has signed a new long term contract with the club.
Evalds has been with the club for his entire career and was voted as the clubs player of the season in 2015.
Despite competition for places, Evalds has nailed down a place in the first team in recent weeks, and Ian Watson is pleased to see that Niall has committed his future to the club, he said;
βNiall has been with us since he was 15 and heβs made massive progress with the club. Iβm really pleased that heβs chosen to commit his long term future with Salford. Heβs had to really fight for his place this year and heβs let his performances do the talking.β
Evalds joins a long list of players that have signed up for next season, and CEO Ian Blease is looking forward to seeing how the team continues to develop, he said;
βNiall has had good offers from other clubs but has chosen to stay here and continue to fight to maintain his place in the first team which is really pleasing. Weβre all really excited about the future for this group of players, but first and foremost the priority is Sundayβs game against Huddersfield. Iβm looking forward to seeing the supporters turn out and get behind Niall and the rest of the team as we try to make this season a special one in the memories of all Salford fans.β
