Niall Evalds earned his 100th career appearance against Hull Kingston Rovers on Friday evening and was delighted to get the result and cross for two tries.
Evalds, sponsored by The Dog and Partridge, said: “It’s come around so fast to be fair so yeah it was nice to get over the line as well.
“It was a good result for the fans we sort of owed them a performance after the first game which wasn’t too cracking.
“Second one we improved but we didn’t really get the result but we got the performance and result this time.
“They’re a good side Hull KR.
“We said about starting fast and we didn’t really do that tonight they started the better but we progressed and won the arm-wrestle and turned them.
“Our plan was to tire their big guys out and I thought we did that at the backend of that second half.”
Evalds has featured on the wing in the last two games for the Red Devils after spending the majority of last season at full-back but the 24-year-old isn’t phased.
“Everyone knows I prefer full-back but I’ll play anywhere to get into that side at the moment that’s the wing – I’m happy where I am.”
