A brace of tries from Krisnan Inu helped Salford Red Devils record their second victory against Warrington at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in 2019.
Ryan Lannon and Kris Welham also scored in the 22-12 win against the Betfred Super League’s second placed side.
The Red Devils opened the scoring early, with a show of strength as Lannon powered over the line in the fourth minute.
Warrington almost hit-back through Tom Lineham five minutes later, but some effective defence from Salford saw him forced out to touch.
The hosts levelled the scores when Jason Clark squeezed over by the posts in the 24th minute, but Salford reclaimed the lead when Inu kicked a penalty.
The lead could have been extended near the close of the half, as the Red Devils broke through some slick passing, but the Warrington defence was able to scramble and haul Kris Welham to the ground.

Welham did add to Salford’s tally four minutes after half-time. Despite being challenged out wide, he showed great determination to keep his balance and find his way over.
Inu claimed his first try soon after. Jackson Hastings sneaked a kick out when under pressure and the Kiwi latched hold to go over in the corner.
Inu’s second try was the most spectacular of the night. Junior Sa’u dived acrobatically for a kick into the in-goal area and was able to flick it back for Inu to gather and score.

The Wolves’ frustration started to show in the final quarter, as Sitaleki Akauola was sent to the sin-bin and despite throwing everything at the Red Devils, they were only able to claim a consolation try through Matt Davis.
The Red Devils will now look to keep their momentum going, when they take on Catalans Dragons as part of a ‘Blue Light’ emergency services celebration at the The Salford Stadium on Sunday. Tickets for the event are available HERE.
🙌 Thank you to all of our Salford fans who made the trip over to the Halliwell Jones tonight to show your support!
