Itβs time for you to vote for your July Player of the Monthβ¦
Paul Rowley’s side are doing it tough at the moment, with last monthβs results maybe an accurate reflection of a mounting injury list.
There were two narrow home defeats to Leeds Rhinos and Leigh Leopards, where late penalty-goals were the difference in both encounters.
After a week break, Les Diables Rouges travelled to face Betfred Super League leaders, Catalans Dragons.
With just 18 fit players available, we were convincingly beaten by Steve McNamara’s high-flying outfit, 42-0.
However, four names have been standout performers for Paul Rowleyβs squad across the month of July.
Beginning with the ever-reliable Ken Sio, who is just one try away from another significant Super League milestone.
Despite a tough month of results, our flying winger did cross twice; once versus Leeds Rhinos and another against Leigh Leopards.
Chris Atkin is another repeat nominee.
A fair reflection of his selflessness and ability to play a number of different positions, the 30-year-old continues to perform week-on-week.
The final nominee – for the first time this season – is Ben Hellewell.
The Scottish international joined the club on a permanent basis after a two-week loan from Featherstone Rovers in 2022.
Since coming into the team, Hellewell has impressed at prop and second-row.
