Salford Red Devils head coach Ian Watson had some words of praise for Kevin Brown after his man of the match performance in the win against Hull FC last.
The Red Devils earned a hard-fought victory at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in the Betfred Super League clash, and Salford number 7 was the main orchestrator of Salford’s attack against the Black and Whites.
Speaking on Brown’s impressive display, Watson said: “Kev’s been getting better and better every week. I think the last two weeks he’s really got to grips with the team, and he’s demanding the excellence off them that he wants to win things.
“Kev’s one of the fittest players you’ll find. Whilst he’s playing the way he is, age doesn’t come into it.”
After the game, Brown, who was making his 350th Super League career appearance, expressed that he is just happy to still be playing
Brown told Sky Sports: “I’m just enjoying my rugby. We’re going through a tough patch in life in general, but to win a game and play a bit of rugby is fun and hopefully put some smiles on the faces of Salford fans.”

Watson also had some kind words for Salford’s main point scorer in the victory – Krisnan Inu – who went over twice and tallied up four out of five conversions.
Watson added: “He’s unbelievable, he can do whatever he wants to do.
“His kick chase today – he’s been getting better at that the last two weeks.”
