Craig Kopczak signs new contract

Salford Red Devils are delighted to announce that Prop Forward Craig Kopczak has a agreed a new contract with the club.

Kopczak, who is captain of the Wales national side, joined the Red Devils in 2016 and has quickly established himself as a fans favourite, being ever present for the side in 2016.

Head Coach Ian Watson was hugely impressed by Craigโ€™s contribution since joining the club, and is hugely satisfied that Kopczak has committed his future to the club, he said;

โ€œWe were really keen to keep Craig, himself and George Griffin were the cornerstone of our pack in 2016 and that held us together as unit last year.

Heโ€™s a player who gives 100% every time he goes onto the field, for his team mates and the club, and hopefully he can build on his performances along with the team to make us a genuine super league force.โ€

With the Red Devils performing well on the field of late, CEO Ian Bleaseย is pleased to see the stability being achieved off the field, he said;

โ€œCraig has really committed to this club since joining last season, and this deal represents that. Itโ€™s fantastic to see players that want to be part of this club, and are proud to play for the Red Devils.โ€

Kopczak joins Gareth Oโ€™Brien, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Junior Saโ€™u, Weller Hauraki, and Lama Tasi in signing a new deal with the Red Devils.
