The Reds left their spiritual home of The Willows in 2011. The Willows had been home to Salford for 110 years and is still held very dear to many Salford Fans and inhabitants.
The The Salford Stadium was opened in late 2011 to be the new home of Salford Red Devils, then named ”Salford City Reds”, ahead of the 2012 season.
The newly build 12,000 capacity stadium boasted state of the art facilities including a fibre mix grass pitch, 10 kiosks, 1200m2 corporate lounge with mood lighting, integrated high definition audio visual equipment, 12 executive boxes, 12 changing rooms between the main tunnel and south stand community change area, 3 medical rooms, expansive tv gantry, generous media facilities as well as an external floodlit full size 3g and grass community pitches.
The stadium has several tenants including Sale Sharks RUFC and Mutlift public gym which is also home to Gainz Health Kitchen.
Around the stadium grounds you can find Barley Farm (a Farmhouse Inns public house) and a recently opened Aldi store.
On a match day fans utilise the onsite marquee to meet fellow supporters ahead of kick off where they can purchase drinks from the bar inside and food from the concession units on the forecourt.
