Salford Red Devils director Paul King said: “This agreement is a symbol of the direction in which the club is travelling ahead of the 2020 season.
“To have formed a partnership with a global brand shows the level the club intends to operate at, following our Grand Final appearance.
“With Morson’s head office based in Salford, it also highlights our identity as a community club.
“We’ve been really encouraged by the number of businesses coming forward to support the club since our play-off campaign and hope to see this continue ahead of the 2020 season.”
The announcement of the new partnership follows Salford’s appearance in the Betfred Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford, which received record TV viewing figures for the competition.
2019 has also been a significant year for Morson, with the Eccles founded recruitment and engineering design company, celebrating its 50th anniversary in business.
Ged Mason said: “We’re delighted to be involved with Salford Red Devils.
“Our company head office is still based in Salford and I lived and went to school in Salford, so there’s a lot of heritage.
“I’m obviously proud of my roots and thought it was a good time to support the local club.”
He added: “The Grand Final was a great event for the whole city, which led to me being asked to support the club and I was delighted to get the main sponsorship position on the shirt.
“Hopefully the momentum and enthusiasm from the final will carry on and the community will get behind the club.
“Local businesses have had the opportunity to advertise on the shirt as well, which was a great idea, and I’m pleased that the winning company, Cannon, are based in Trafford Park, so quite local.
“The benefits that Salford offer through TV coverage now, and their performance on the pitch, elevates what they offer to sponsors.
“The coverage was one of the decisions which helped me decide to advertise on the shirt, because of the fantastic reach it has.
“I know the back office are working their socks off to help the club and get more sponsorship in and I think if we can all rally round and support our local club, and support the local community, it will be an exciting season ahead.”

“I was even more delighted to receive a phone call on Wednesday, just after 11am, to say that we were successful.
“As a Salford lad who’s supported the club from the mid-seventies, I have seen some great players pull on the club’s shirt.
“After the season we’ve just had, with support from local business like ours and rekindled supporters returning, I can’t wait for 2020 to start.”
Salford Red Devils would like to thank all entrants for their understanding when the winning sponsorship position was changed, following an approach from a major company to secure the front of shirt position. Full details on our main sponsor for the 2020 season will be announced in due course.
Red Devils commercial manager Hannah Kilby said: “We’ve been really pleased by the response from the business community, towards this initiative.
“It has proven that there’s an appetite for further involvement with the club and how much the recent play-off campaign has reengaged people beyond the traditional fanbase.
“As a result of our thrilling end to the season, we saw a number of companies show interest in our main sponsorship opportunity, with one determined to secure the position outright.
“This has allowed us to increase the level of overall investment, while still offering great value to our raffle entrants.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the entrants for their understanding on this.”

The announcement of Cannon securing a place on the Red Devils shirt for the 2020 season, follows the club receiving record-breaking TV viewing figures.

Interest in the club has spiked, following a play-off campaign which saw the team reach the Betfred Super League Grand Final, achieving record-breaking viewing figures.
Shirt sponsorships are now available for the 2020 season.
Prior to the 2019 play-off campaign, the available sponsorship locations held a combined media value of over £50,000.
Businesses interested in displaying their brand on the 2020 Salford shirt are advised to contact the club’s commercial manager: hannah.kilby@salfordreddevils.net

RED DEVILS EXTEND SPONSORSHIP DEADLINE

Salford Red Devils have extended the window for businesses to enter the draw which gives them a chance of becoming the club’s main sponsor.
Due to a surge in demand during the Red Devils’ Betfred Super League play-off campaign, which has placed the team just 80 minutes away from a Grand Final appearance at Old Trafford, the deadline for the draw has been extended until Wednesday 16 October.
A fee of £1,000 + VAT will see businesses entered into a draw to have their logo displayed as the main sponsor and open access to more than £112,000 worth of media value, to businesses of all sizes.
Entrants can also nominate a good cause to adorn the front of the Salford Red Devils shirt and be named Official Club Sponsor for the entire 2020 season.
Salford Red Devils commercial manager Hannah Kilby said: “We have been really pleased by the increase in interest over recent weeks.
“The exposure our current sponsors have been gaining while the team is competing in the play-offs has showcased the value on offer in this draw.
“Our ties against Wigan and Castleford received some of this season’s highest TV viewing figures from across the competition and displaying the brands of our partners at these prestigious events has emphasised how enticing this opportunity is.
“We have also been pleased to see individuals enter charitable causes into the draw, and would be delighted if one of these took centre stage in 2020.”
Each entrant, or their chosen good cause, will continue to be announced on the club’s social media channels. All bid entries will receive a lower west stand seating season ticket for all Betfred Super League fixtures at the The Salford Stadium in 2020. Multiple entries will result in additional collateral, such as a signed matchday ball.
In addition, there will be other benefits for the winning bidder, including an executive corporate box for the entire season, company logo on all home, away and replica shirts, LED advertising at home games, logo on Salford Red Devils’ website, regular social media posts, car parking passes, player appearances at work and more.
The cap on entries will remain the same, meaning the extension will not reduce entrants’ chances of winning.
All artwork for entrants wishing to be positioned on the front of Salford Red Devils’ shirts for the 2020 season, must also be submitted by the Wednesday 16 October deadline.
